CLIMBING  TO THE   SUCESS                                       "Every small step counts in the climb to the sucess" Hello everyone, I am here again! Let's talk about climbing: The first ascent that is considered climbing as such, occurred in 1786 with Paccard's ascent of Mont Blanc. Benedict de Saussure wanted to know the height of the peak, and offered a reward to anyone who could find a way up it. Paccard's ascent was the first of many. Many people wanted to emulate his steps.

Why is climbing useful and important?

 WHY IS CLIMBING USEFUL? The great virtue of sport climbing is that it is a very complete discipline in which most muscle groups are exercised. Therefore, it is an excellent method for toning and shaping the body and gaining strength, especially in the upper body. Why is it important? Climbing increases arm and leg strength, as well as grip. Improves balance and flexibility. It makes us more agile. It improves the musculature of the whole body, limbs and back muscles and dorsal muscles.

The evolution of climbing

HOW THIS SPORT HAS EVOLVED?   Well, there was not like a big evolution, but it has evolved to better. In 1786 they climbed with normal clothes, and strange shoes that were not very helpful. There was no  place to climb properly or to train how to climb, the only place that you could go to if you wanted to climb was the rocks. In the actuallity, you can find lots of places in the ones you can learn/train how to climb. Some of them are BulderPark, 7fun and more. All those are closed places, with climbing walls that allows you to practice sport climbing or bouldering all year round, in the city, whatever the weather conditions. Climbing is practiced both, inside and outside buildings and artificial structures. I am going to tell you a curiosity: Antoine de Ville was the first to climb a wall, Mont Aiguille, in 1492. It is about 300 meters of vertical ascent with a horizontal summit. At that time it was inaccessible, so de Ville built a scaffold. So it is not considered climbing as such. B

Types of climbing

TYPES OF CLIMBING There are different types of climbings, the most basics are: I ce climbing, dry-tooling, mountaineering, solo climbing, hill walking and scrambling are also all under the umbrella of "climbing". Rock climbing is the most commun, and from it we can get two different types of climbings,  which are Free climbing  and Aid Climbing. From the Aid one we don't get anyone but inside the Free one yes, the Roped and the Unroped. In Unroped we get Free Soloring and Boultering, and from Roped, Lead Climbing and Top Rope. Finally, inside the Lead one we find Trad Climbing and the Sport Climbing. S ome people love climbing but are afraid of falling. For those people, the solution has been to do indoor climbing. Within these there are two options: with harness or without harness. If you have a harness, the walls will be higher and the harness will protect you, plus you will have a mat below to prevent any injury. In the ones without harness, the walls are usually lower

  What clothes do we wear when we climb? Thanks god that we are not in the 80-90 because their clothes at climbing were not so good at the ones we actually wear. As I said before, they climbed with the same clothes that they used when they were shopping! How interesting, don't you think so? The clothes that we usually wear when we climb in a gym are sports clothes, but when we climb in mountains or rocks it seems that for rock climbing, you can choose any type of clothing. It can be done, but it is advisable to wear clothing that is suitable for the weather and that allows freedom of movement while providing protection. Is climbing dangerous?

 IS CLIMBING DANGEROUS? Climbing is one of the best sports, but is it dangerous? And yes it is. If you are climbing in rocks you can get hurt of many ways, here are some examples: - Falls: Falls are one of the most obvious risks in climbing. They can result in serious injuries, such as fractures, sprains or even death. - Rock falls: Loose rocks or rock falls can be very dangerous. Knowing how to receive impacts from these rocks is crucial to avoid dangerous falls or damage that will prevent further climbing. - Adverse weather conditions: Climbers must face strong gusts of wind, rain and even extreme blizzards. Being attentive to weather development is critical to safety. - Human error: Problems with harness knots, rope position on the belay, incorrect carabiner closures or poor coordination with partners can have fatal consequences. - Hand and foot injuries: Climbing can cause injuries to the extremities due to the effort and constant friction with the rocks. - Blows against the rock:
